Journaling:
Thomas and Friends have been part of our lives since Jake was just over 2 years old. In the spring of 2005, as he approached his third birthday, there was nothing in the world that Jake wanted more than a Thomas train set. But we never caved. We made him wait until his birthday to open his set from the Fullantes.

Since then, the Thomas obsession has never faded. One of Jake’s favorite characters is Diesel 10, the “bad guy.” He’s the train everyone loves to hate. And now, at four years old, Jake writes his own stories where Diesel 10 is always the antagnoist, trying lead Thomas astray.

Diesel 10 was one of the first trains we bought for Jake. And for some reason, his unruly behavior has always been captivating. It’s really pretty amazing when you think about it, the life lessons our baby has learned from a surly wooden train.
