The photograph is of my Aunt Lucy as a little baby . . . she looks to be about 5 or 6 months old here and was likely dressed in a Christening gown. I do think that little Lucy looks very sleepy in this photo ... I wonder how long it took to have the photo made ... did she cry ... did she need her little nap? I feel sure that the gown was made for her by my grandmother who was a talented seamstress. Aunt Lucy would grow and prosper . . . serve in the Air Force during WWII gaining the rank of major as a hospital dietitian and would live another eighty plus wonderful years. The old photo was in good shape with the exception of the heavy cardboard embossed matte which was torn apart along one side.
