A fun summertime page of our then youngest son in August of 1971.

In the summer of 1971, we were living at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and were taking a wonderful little vacation in Ocala, Florida with Charles Richard and Annabelle. Michael had just turned three years old and Mark was a spunky little 18 month old! Annabelle’s sisters; Peggy and Dixie and their families were all there too . . . all totaled there were seventeen of us in the house for a week. And, what fun did we have! The nine children ranged in age from 9 years to 9 months . . . so there were all sorts of activities going on all the time. Some times we would all eat out, but for the most part we stayed at the house and cooked and swam and fished and played! Michael and Mark had so much fun playing with cousins Richard, Jennie and Lucy and the other children. Little Mark really loved playing in the sand and in the water at the edge of the lake.
