I was 100% inspired by the paint chip tags in Katie's freebie for Sharon's elements chat on Saturday! When I opened Katie's generous freebie file, I saw the paint tags and immediately knew the layout I'd create!
I wear a multitude of hats at work, but one of the best ones is that of space planner and interior designer for our tenants. I get to create efficient floor plans and then help with finish selections... flooring, cabinetry and... yep... paint! Hence, these tags reminding me so much of the big paint fans I share with our tenants! I happened to take a photo of my plan table one day last fall... which on this day had a set of plans on it buried lots of material samples!
To supplement my story, I also included one of my floor plans (like a brush!) behind the photo and used a 4x6 All Around frame as another anchoring element. (We talked about these frames in Sharon's chat, too!) I love the staggered look of the Offset Alpha and used a similar technique with overlapping blocks of color behind the photo. And yes, I simply sampled colors from the paint chips to fill in the font and blocks!
A big thank you to Katie and Sharon for the inspiration!
