We searched for over five years for a sofa. The old one, which Chris had bought an an auction, was never my favourite. I spent many hours sleeping on that sofa when I was pregnant with Willem, so as comfortable as it was, I never actually liked how it looked. When we moved to Arthur Drive, it seemed too big for the living room. We searched and searched, but couldn’t seem to find one that we both liked. So we lived with the old one.

We moved to the new place and the old sofa ended up downstairs in the rec room (thankfully) leaving a bit hole in the living room and forcing us to look revisit the sofa situation! We knew that we now had the space for a sectional and that we wanted one in leather, but it was still very difficult. After looking around online and in stores, I came across one with my mom at a store in Richmond. As soon as I saw it, I knew that it was the one. It wasn’t the colour that Chris wanted, but I was confident that this one would be a perfect fit for our new living room. I bought it at 11:30 and by 2pm it was delivered and assembled!
