The layout from Mel (britgirl) that Linda chose for the SSL is one of my faves from Mel so I was super excited to lift it! What I can't lift from Mel is her creative ability to mix seemingly random elements so perfectly on a page! What I did lift were the corner dots (I used "stitching holes"), that little top corner spot (I used a tag and one chevron), background brushwork, the same photo frame and the wooden chevrons! Oh, and all that lovely white space! *grin*
Thank you, Mel and Linda! Loved lifting this page!

My animal-loving daughter saved an old neighborhood dog from wandering onto a very busy street (at rush hour!) near our home! Roxie was very sweet, but anxious, as she waited for over an hour until Shannon tracked down the owners. One number on the dog tag was disconnected; she left a message on the other. Shannon finally called the city, but NOT to come pick up the dog... she refused that... but to see if anyone had called looking for Roxie. The owners finally called Shannon back and were incredibly grateful that Roxie was safe! And, I was glad they responded, too... otherwise, I think we would've wound up with a new (but old!) doggie! LOL
