We don't have much in the way of autumn around here. The Hill Country has autumn, and I've been there when the leaves are turning, and it's beautiful. It's also a 2 hour drive each way, so it's not a daily excursion. Around here, autumn color happens between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I've come to look forward to my neighbor's Bradford Pear trees having red and green leaves right around Christmas time. Very appropriate decorating. And truthfully, the whole 20 years I lived in Ohio, autumn was only truly spectacular once - and I made a photo book of it.
