I had to wait for just the right equestrian embellishment to tell this story! Thanks, Katie, love the new blendable. That was fun to create an extended "race"! True story, and a very fun memory. TLF! (The center photo of the winning horse was borrowed from the Internet, as I was too busy jumping up and down to think to get a photo as he ran by!)

"Texas Red pulled a 13-1 upset in the $2 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile, beating Carpe Diem, a 9-5 favorite, by six and a half lengths." That was the official news. The unofficial news was when Lauri asked the bartender, Red, who to bet on, and they commiserated that no horse with Red in the name had ever won. So the choice was obvious, even if it was long odds. We couldn't believe it when Texas Red came from last place to win it all! Lauri made back all the money we had bet that day, and that was enough for us! On the way out we stopped by to thank Red, and give him his due reward in the form of a nice tip! That was so fun!
