Journaling reads: Kate took a day off school to attend our 18 week ultrasound. While the tech was taking diagnostic measurements, Kate noticed our babyís gender and questioned the tech. She didnít want to confirm because the screen was facing away from me. She later told Kate that she was right. Kate was thrilled that our baby was a little brother! Thatís exactly what she wanted. She dressed up with hair ribbons and the big hand for school the next day ready to surprise her class at Viz. She took hair ribbons to hand out to the other girls. Everyone was so happy for her! Kate named her little brother Jacob Daniel...with Mom and Dadís approval, of course. January 22, 2007
