Two more pages for the trip which husband and I recently took from Amsterdam ending in the Czech Republic.! I wanted a very simple and quick manner of scrapping this trip . . . and was mighty influenced by Esther's many travel books.

Journaling page a: We were sailing in Austria from Melk toward Krems after lunch today and enjoyed the spectacular views and commentary by Program Director Kane as we sailed the Wachau Valley . It was cool on the deck that afternoon, so most of us stayed inside the lounge and ran out to the deck for a prime photograph every once in a while! The afternoon sun was perfect as we passed by this lovely small village.

Journaling page b: The stretch of the Danube between Krems and Melk, known locally as the Wachau, is possibly he loveliest along entire length of this majestic river. Both banks are dotted with ruined castles and medieval towns and are lined with terraced vineyards.. The Wachau is described as an outstanding example of a riverine landscape. Noted for its cultural importance as well as its physical beauty. The architecture, the human settlements, and he agricultural use of he land in the Wachau vividly illustrate a basically medieval landscape which has evolved organically and harmoniously over time.
