What a lovely layout for this week's SSL... thank you, Carmen, for such wonderful inspiration! I (obviously) lifted the idea of a landscape photo and 'cutting' it into sections... a clever technique! I created odd angled cuts to accentuate that spit of land and the peaks of the mountains in the distance. I also liked the cluster on the one side and instead of cut circles, I used "looping" ink swirls!
A most beautiful late afternoon vista on my run yesterday... we're fortunate to be a block or so away from a nature preserve filled with paved and unpaved trails. The mountains (you can see the "Saddleback") are about 30 miles away so it was a fairly clear day!

A beautiful view across the Back Bay to Eastbluff with the Santa Ana Mountains in the background... Modjeska Peak and Santiago Peak make up the ridge we all call “Old Saddleback” or just plain old “Saddleback”.
