I love, love, love deep rich colors but, for some reason, it's so hard for me to use them in abundance on my layouts. So, today's challenge on the DD blog was a great challenge for me to step outside that proverbial box (again!) and I have to say that I kinda like all that color! *wink*
The text Shannon sent made me smile... I absolutely loved the words she chose for the changing weather and her request for warmer clothes! We didn't pack any jackets or coats (light or heavy) when she moved into her dorm, so she's been relying on sweaters and sweatshirts. And, a few nights lately, the temps did drop to where she really needs a jacket!

The text message I received today from Shannon totally made me smile: When are you going to send my winter gear? We are rapidly declining into fall so some heavier jackets might be nice!
