Losing Pattie . . . how do we come to grips with not having Pattie’s wit, wisdom, laughter and companionship here at Designer Digitals? I feel so blessed to have been Pattie’s friend through this wonderful scrapbooking site and especially feel doubly blessed to have been able to spend a little time with her when we met friend to friend. I know that she touched each of the lives of the ladies here at DD and even more as a teacher and in her community. I am sure that Pattie charmed Saint Peter when she entered those Pearly Gates!
Pattie made me smile and still makes me Smile smile when I think so often of her.

Poem: “To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one’s self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived—this is to have succeeded.” ~ Bessie Anderson Stanley

Journaling: This is a quotation, which Pattie liked from an Internet reading group she participated in with many of her friends. I found it on Pattie’s Goodreads page and I think that it is so much the Pattie that I knew and loved. Sunshine, wisdom and laughter radiated from Pattie. She was one of the smartest, kindest and most helpful people I have known and she made me feel as though I had known her for many years rather than only a few. Pattie would go out of her way to create most anything that a friend needed to work on her scrapbook pages. She helped me out many times and would occasionally email me with a suggestion about one of her products that she could alter to work better for me. God made only a few people as wonderful as Pattie Knox. I loved her.
