Our family of 16 cousins spent a beautiful six days in the home of our Aunt Velma last week. Our task was to clean out her home and to each take a few treasures to our homes so that we could carry her memory in our hearts in a tangible way when we looked upon objects dear to our hearts. The task was difficult but the time spend was wonderful. We were able to share our separate and joint memories . . . to have such fun and make more memories as we spent this time together. This week would likely be the last that all of us would share in her warm and loving home . . . and we cherished each minute. We found a stack of old of 78-RPM records from the 1940’s; which we put on the spindle of the old record player and we laughed, sang and danced in the tiny loft space at the top of the stairs! Ah, the memories mingle . . . the new with the old. (this text will be on a companion page)

Journaling: Nancy, Sara, Janie & I were up in Aunt Velma’s loft cleaning out a few things and having fun just being with each other. What a good time we had reminiscing about all the wonderful years were blessed to share with our Aunt Velma in her home . . . and now we were now sharing this very happy & sad day in her home for the very last time.
