Journaling: SUNDAY morning was a hard morning to awake. We had to turned the clocks forward last night for the end of daylight savings time. Bess and the children left about noon for home. We had such a good weekend with them being here! MONDAY – lunch with the girls @ the Chop House for me and to the farm for Papa. Lucy and Jim are in Australia. TUESDAY morning we slept late then E. went for mulch and I had my check-up with Dr. Anlers. Picked the boys up at two and took them for a snack at Chick-fil-a and then to look for supplies for parachute bracelets to no avail. Breakfast for supper. On WEDNESDAY, I went to the library to turn in “Babbitt” & picked up “Saving CeeCee Honeycutt” and “Whiteout” to read next week. On THURSDAY I ordered the parachute bracelet supplies from eBay and cleaned house most of the morning. Picked up James and Henry at two. Rain so they couldn’t play outside today. Picked up MItchell at four from drill at the high school. Ed & Sonny left for Mississippi. Heavy rain and winds all afternoon and evening. FRIDAY was James’ field trip to hear the Holocaust survivor and then to get pizza. I picked him up and took him to both. The speaker was amazing and such an inspiration. While at the pizza place my battery died. Melvin came and jumped my car off. Then it was to Auto Zone for a new battery & then to get my oil changed. All totaled $200.00! Picked up the boys after school. On SATURDAY was Mark’s birthday! St. Patrick’s day 1970 was a special day when our sweet Mark was born while his daddy was in Viet Nam. I drove to Aunt Velma’s house and worked all day going through closets and drawers. When I left to come home the sky was black. I went through a hailstorm and pulled off the road . . . luckily the car wasn’t dented! Eddie and Sonny got home from their trip. They called to see if I wanted to meet them for supper in town, but I told them that I was just too tired and only wanted a bowl of cereal.
