Journaling: Tasting the local cuisine is always one of the highlights when we travel. Alice, Everette, and Don are more adventurous eaters than I am and will often try new and different dishes, like the shrimp and whelk appetizer near Mont St. Michel. We all had Salade Nicoise before we left the south of France, and Don really enjoyed the salads nearly everywhere we visited. Pictured above is his salad from our lunch on the Champs Elysee. He declared the combination of corn and black beans a hit. I had to wait until Paris to get my quiche, but when I did, it was very tasty. And the bread, of course, was tres magnifique.
