Our Heritage Challenge No. 08 is up on the Designer Digitals Blog this morning and I have enjoyed this one so much! I love to nab my old photos and think about what was going on at the time . . . to reminisce about the things that I do remember & imagine what I donít remember. It is at times like this that I appreciate journal keeping . . . I would love it if my mother had kept a journal or had written more on the backs of photographs, but I am so thankful to have the photographs & memories that I do have! These photographs are from the summer of 1948 . . . the summer that I turned three years old & and my cousin Ricky was two.
I hope to see your layouts in the Heritage Gallery too.

My journaling: I just really donít remember this particular summertime day at all, but I do remember the little turtle water toy. Rick brought these photographs to our family reunion in April of 2009 and I immediately knew that this turtle was the toy that I had memories of and would wonder where I could have seen or played with it. Aunt Betty would come to visit each summer and I do remember being very excited when they would come. Ricky was only one year younger than I was and we must have always enjoyed each other very much. Aunt Betty was so much fun. So funny & so playful. I think that I had as much fun with her as I did with Ricky! As the years passed, I have remained close with Rick and I miss my funny & cute Aunt Betty Rose so much.
