It was a while before I could write this one...

to have had you in our lives for the nine years you were with our family. Chase, Cole and I drove from Lubbock, Texas to a small town outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico on Easter weekend of 2000 to pick you up from Zia Breeders. You were about 8 weeks old. The boys, 4 and 6 years old were so patient and well behaved during that very long car ride. As a puppy, you were such a cute ball of fluff we could hardly keep our hands off of you. I spent a lot of time training you in the very beginning months of your life that you trained quickly in all areas. You never had an accident in the house and you walked gently beside us on a leash. You became a very loyal dog and friend. The words that I tend to describe you are “loyal” and “loving”. You always followed me around the house from room to room. Your favorite thing to chew on was ice. Whenever you heard a coke can open you would come running for a piece of ice. You always carried around a “baby” in your mouth. You preferred soft stuffed animals and would fall asleep with them gently gripped in your mouth. I miss you in the morning when you are not beside my side of the bed when I wake up. I miss that you are not here to greet me when I get home from work. There are so many things I miss about you and I will always feel graced by your presence. June 3, 2009
