• How to Find the Transform Handles in Photoshop or PSE

When you drag a photo onto a layered template, sometimes the transform controls are hidden in the grey area outside the document. This week in our series on getting more from layered templates, we’ll show you how to work efficiently with a shortcut that solves this problem in Photoshop and Elements.

When a photo is bigger than the template, and you want to resize it, press Ctrl T (Mac: Cmd T) on your keyboard. This activates the transform controls, but you will have trouble finding the corners outside the template boundary when you are in Cascade or Float all in Windows mode. To find them, press Ctrl 0 (Mac: Cmd 0) – that’s the number zero. This scales down your window so that you can reach the handles and resize your photo.
