Let’s celebrate Template Tuesday by doing some template layering! One of my favorite things about using the great templates available by our designers is the ability to mix and match layers to create a uniquely beautiful page. Around here, we call it the Template Mash Up Challenge! This week, we’ll be mixing and matching from these two beauties:
I was thinking a lot about holding onto autumn (my favorite season!) when I chose these templates. Sharon seems to have been thinking the same thing, and obviously these templates were perfectly suited to a page that perfectly displays the brilliance of autumn–even as it fades! The only product Sharon used besides the featured templates was Taped Together Stacks December No. 1 (which you’ll see coming soon!).
Debi’s page is brilliant. She’s got a rare talent for making diverse starting points into something that is really her own style. LOVE this page, especially how she shrunk the epoxy buttons to make them into her signature mini flairs. 🙂 Debi used only two products in addition to the featured templates: Burlap Essentials Autumn Paper Pack, Be Bop Xmas Toothy Solids Paper Pack.
Mollie has just returned from the trip of a lifetime, and she’s used elements from our two templates to showcase a beautiful photograph from her travels. I am amazed by the totally different look achieved here with the addition of the clean wood veneer frame! Again, very few additional products were required: Awesome Autumn Scripted Titles Brushes and Stamps, Just Linens Paper Pack No. 62, Wood Veneer Keylined Photo Frames No. 01.
I’d love to see you participate in our challenge by creating your own layout featuring whatever elements from our two starting templates inspire you! You can add whatever additional supplies you’d like as well. Post your page in the Template Challenge Gallery to share in the fun. And don’t forget that if you use all currently available DD products, your page will qualify for credit in our rewards program! You can find all of the details in the November Challenge thread in the forum.
