Template Mash Up Challenge: Hello Love

Our family was thrilled┬áto say ‘Hello Love’ to a new baby girl three weeks ago! Granddaughter Audrey was born on December 23, and she was certainly the best Christmas gift we could have received. Anticipation of her arrival defined the holiday season for us this year.

Template Mash Up to the rescue! I was able to use two Layer Works templates, both packed with goodies, to create a unique page ‘mashing’ the themes of ‘new baby’ and ‘Christmas.’

Layer Works No. 625

Layer Works No. 617

Combining templates can be an efficient way to a layout that you love! I kept the design foundation of the baby themed template, which worked for the photo I had in mind. Then I started playing! I pulled in many of the subtly holiday themed embellishments from the second template, moved things, deleted things and recolored things to end up with a page that features little Audrey…and contains just a touch of Christmas. čÖé

Hello Love webCredits for my layout include:

Studio DD
Layer Works No. 625
Layer Works No. 617
Readymade Clusters: Christmas No. 03

Katie Pertiet
Seasons Finest Element Pack(Paper strip masked to the polka dot tape on the layer works to create a new tape)
Seasons Finest Solids Paper Pack┬á(Background paper–lightened slightly)

Of course these templates could provide a great starting point for completely different themes as well. There are endless possibilities!

I hope that you will consider playing along in today’s challenge. You’ll be able to pick up both of these layered templates at a great price during the Thrifty Thursday sale this week. And don’t forget that there is a brand new rewards program here at Designer Digitals! You can read all of the details in the January 2016 Challenge Participation Sign in thread. Please also post your page in the Template Challenge Gallery┬áso that we can all be inspired!

My 3rd son was born on 12/23 also! (Just a few years ago, LOL.) Definitely defined Christmas for us that year too! Your new granddaughter is adorable, and I love the result of your mash-up.
