Welcome to 2020! The beginning of the year always brings with it the desire for change and newness. For me, I want to get rid of all the things, because it feels like they are taking over! What does the new year bring for you?
Since it’s the new year and all, I thought we’d start this post out with a page that is nice and clean (can you tell I’m on a clutter-free kick!).
I chose this page by Kathleen (kmchamber64) because of all the white space, beautiful layering/element choices, and traditional Christmas Colors!
Products used: Around Word Page Frames No. 05 December, Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit No. 17, Text Clusters Brushes and Stamps No. 05, Typed and Scripted Brushes and Stamps No. 12, Vintage Postage Frames No. 02.
Lynn (Grandma Lynnie) was inspired by this page for many of the same reasons as me, but what she drew the majority of her inspiration from is the double-sided border. I have to say that the weather in Orange Beach looks a lot more appealing than what we’ve had in MS for the last week!!! This page brightens my day!
Linda (earlofoxford) loved the offset design, black and white photo, and the photo cluster. As you can see, using a black and white photo allowed her to go with whatever color scheme she desired, in this case, primary school colors! Aren’t these two littles working so hard on their book? I like how closely she kept her lift to Kathleens, especially how the paint mimics the star. I think that is the real fun of this challenge, using another persons’ page to create a wholly new and unique LO!

Shannon (shannonroller) stayed with the Christmas theme but changed up her colors to match those of her friends’ beautiful decor. I also like how she enlarged her photo so that the individuals could be more clearly identified.
Now, Amson took quite a different approach to the inspiration piece, and I love how her page showcases both the boat and those awesome sea lions. This page shows how making a page fit your own needs works well too.
