Saturday Scraplift: Subtle Blending

Welcome to August! In Mississippi, school starts this week. (where did summer go!) For those of you sending your kiddos back to school this month, good luck in the new year!

Today we are lifting this beautiful page by pkfotografie! The way she used this template and so subtly blended her double-photo of the ship into the papers is beautiful! I also find the colors very relaxing; I would love to visit this place, it looks just stunning!

Products used: Blendables Layered Template No. 29, Wander Words Brushes and Stamps

I enjoy SSLs because everyone finds inspiration from the page in so many different ways. Grandma Lynnie, Sylvis, Addie, and Grace created wonderful pages, and I hope you will join in too!

Grandma Lynnie used a similar LO to showcase her 50th! Wedding Anniversary. I love how the frame shows their original wedding photo and the Page Blend shows their beautiful and lasting marriage, 50 years later!

Products used: I Do Paper Pack, Beloved Element Pack, Page Blends No. 07,
Vintage Photo Frames No. 46, Painted Lace No. 01

Sylvis (smcloone) inspiration came from the blending and framed photo; she added flair with the outer frame and title work. This is another place I would love to enter like “Mary Poppins”! Such beautiful weather, water, and a fun boat!

Products used: Watercolor Page Titles No3, Monthly Memories Vol. 02: Foundations No. 08, Vintage Photo Frames No. 32, Color Muse: Keen Element Pack,
From My Bookshelf Blendables No. 03, Watery Grids Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Beached Element Pack, Readymade Layers: Beach Clusters No. 04

Addie (agoymerac) kept her page simple and drew inspiration from the Page Blends, prominent Title Work, and Edge overlay. I like how she used the Edge Overlay to make the whole thing look like it’s fading into nothing!

Products used: Spill Frame Layers No. 15, Gesso No. 01 Brushes and Stamps, Bold and Scripted Brushes and Stamps No. 06, Edge Overlays No. 12, Canvas Cardstocks Paper Pack No. 13, View from here Brushes and Stamps No. 01

Grace (Grace J) took her page in a different direction drawing inspiration from pkfotografie double-photo effect and using the Blendable Layers to join the two together. This photo holds a place in my heart because Ft. Worth is where my grandparents grew up and fell in love too. I also graduated from college here. Unfortunately, it isn’t a “Cow Town” anymore!
