Saturday Scraplift: Seeing Stars

Happy Saturday! I come to you today with a darling page for you to consider lifting this week. I just couldn’t resist Lee Ann’s (quietgirl) precious page documenting the normal everyday of losing teeth.

I loved the strong star background with the coordinated papers from the new Boscage kit. The shadowing also gave weight to the background and the added little details of buttons, twisted stitching and mini stars really pulled it all together. Apparently I wasn’t the only one because I had a lot of help for the blog post this week.

Up first is Kate (Okate) with a pretty close lift. She used the same Boscage kit but chose to use more stitched stars for a softer background. Always exciting to get another Christmas page checked off the list. ūüôā¬†December Boscage Christmas Scrapbook Kit,¬†ARToption Mini Mix No. 04,¬†Vintage Christmas Element Pack,¬†Christmas Woodlands Element Pack,¬†Golden Season Element Pack,¬†So Fine Element Pack,¬†Clean Stitched Stars: White No. 01,¬†Wood Veneer December No. 01,¬†Vintage Side Lift Photo Frames No. 01

The next page is by Beth (bred1269) and she captured a great shot of a Stellar Jay. Love how she stretched the stars to encompass the entire background and used edge stitching to help anchor the page. Such a great shot!

Audrey (adrianita) was inspired to use some photos of her precious son in the rain. She chose a softer pallet and triangles but kept with the overall design. Love the added bead scatterings and photo edge details. He’s such a love.

Kathy (blackkathy) kept with the darling baby theme not only using a sweet photo but also with baby elements and little boy colors. Love that cute teddy bear peeking out behind the photo and her combo of patterned stars with stitched stars.

Jheri also decided to take part in the lifting but she used a template along with additional diamonds for her page. She also kept with the Boscage kit color scheme. Such a great selfie. Wish I could take selfies that looked this good!

Finally, here’s my page. I kept with the basic layout of Lee Ann’s page but used a different color scheme. Turns out I was inspired to use some of the same elements as Audrey but I didn’t even know it until I was putting this post together! We both added bead scatterings and similar brushwork titles. My son and his girl are still in the “swoon” stage of their relationship and it’s pretty cute.
