For the recent color challenge, Kim chose a stunning combination of green, silver, and white; and I loved seeing the beautiful pages it inspired. I was taken by Brenda’s (bbe) lovely layered, vertical design that showcased a cute shot of her cat under the tree. I really liked the elements, brushes, and paint she used to give dimension to her page. Our Creative Team jumped at the chance to lift Brenda, and I think you’ll love all the different looks they achieved.
Debi (beehive50), who’s enjoying a reunion with her daughter in Scotland as I type, scrapped a shot that Shannon sent her of the pint she enjoyed just before going into final exams. Debi is a master of white space, and this page is no exception. She used the patterned paper chevrons to lead the viewer’s eye to the photo and carried out her color scheme with her cluster and brush work.

Rachael’s (myssp) beautiful design is everything a winter page should be from the icy blues to the sparkly snowflakes to the sweet photo of her granddaughter in mid twirl. I love how compactly she layered paper beneath her picture so that nothing distracts from it, and the hints of greenery are perfect for the season.

Shannon (shannonroller) recently returned from an anniversary cruise in Hawaii and used Brenda’s design to create the title page of her trip album. I love that she put a happy photo of her and her husband front and center on the page and has included their daily itinerary as well. The striped woodgrain background and the cluster complete her nautical theme.

On her page, DeLisa (DELISAK) spotlighted a darling photo of her daughter from Christmas past when she received a special toy – Elmo! The black background is an excellent choice to make the colors of her photo and elements really pop, and I love how she has reproduced the polka dots of her daughter’s top in the patterned paper behind the picture.
