Saturday Scraplift: The Large and the Small of It

Sometimes you have a photo that just cries out to be large and in charge on your page. That’s the sort of photo on DeLisa’s (DELISAK) great page. She and her husband were in Death Valley during the super bloom of wildflowers, and she highlighted the ensuing photograph. I also love how she included a close-up detail of the pretty flowers they saw. Here’s how the Creative Team was inspired by DeLisa’s page.

Merr (digigrandma) and her husband have been enjoying some beach time, and she took the opportunity to show off the white sands and blue skies that are replacing the Minnesota winter for them. She carried out the beach theme in her background papers, the wavy mask, and the border under her picture. I love the photo of her husband who looks like the weather might be a little cool and blustery.

Brenda (bbe) made the focus of her page a wonderful photo from a favorite trip. She matched the warm tones of the photo to her patterned paper which, along with the curvy mask, leads the viewer’s eye right to the picture. I really like how she filled the white space at the bottom with well-chosen word art and her title. Travel brochure worthy!

I took photos one afternoon at my grandson’s football game. The sports shots really weren’t scrapworthy, but I liked the candids I managed to get at halftime. They worked perfectly with DeLisa’s design which provided plenty of room for an extra photo, journaling, and accents.

It’s time to browse your pile of photos for that one you want to make the star of your page. I’m looking forward to seeing how DeLisa’s page inspires you. Post your lift in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery and in the March Challenge Participation Sign In thread. Happy scrapping!
