Saturday Scraplift – Hello Vertical!

It’s time for another Saturday Scraplift. This week has been particularly alarming for us in the US and I know many other countries are experiencing the same things in regards to COVID-19. I’m so grateful for this digital hobby that no only gives us creative outlet while we are staying home but also keeps us so connected to our friends around the world who enjoy scrapbooking and sharing it with others. I hope you are all able to do a little digi shopping, a little scrapbooking and maybe even a little lifting of this amazing page this week!

I could not pass up the opportunity to lift Amy’s precious page of her new granddaughter. As the mother of 4 boys and 2 grandsons, she’s waited a long time to make baby girl pages! And wow, is this a stunner. Yuna is absolutely precious and Amy’s use of the vertical background and the vertical embellishments really draw the eye to the horizontal photo. Plus the color scheme is dreamy. Lots of inspiration here and the team took it and ran with it!

Up first is Diane (dvhoward55) with this adorable doll drawing by Blythe. That is some talent! Diane followed the vertical background and embellishment column and even included flowers in her design as well. Really sets off the sketch!

Shannon (shannonroller) took a totally different approach with her lift and I love it! She was inspired by the flamingo element to scrap some California flamingos. By using the letter template, she still had a pretty strong vertical column along the left side. SSL are so fun because you never know where the inspiration will take you!
