I love a design that looks comfortable on a page. It’s nestled in among brush work and elements that complement the photo. Kelly’s (wsprite_ad) page fits that bill perfectly. Behind her cute photo is brush work, and above it is word strips, a large initial, and a readymade border. Two of my fellow Creative Team members and I took inspiration from Kelly’s page to create our own versions.
Sharon (Shannamay) created a delightful page about three of her grandchildren at the quay on a sunny January day Down Under. Her watery brush work is perfect for her page, and I love how she designed her own border with a perforated strip behind and word strips and a large number above her photo. Sharon also grounds her design with the repetition of color and labels.
Our second Sharon (justbnsharon) also scrapped a picture of one of her granddaughters wearing an adorable apron – such a great spring page! Most of the action takes place behind the photo where she created the perfect ode to spring with grass, flowers, and a bunny. Above the photo, she used word strips and a large initial, reinforcing her design with a visual triangle of blue elements.

Even though the photo I scrapped was taken on Christmas Day 2017, the colors lent themselves to the pretty colors in Katie’s new Spring Meadows Kit so I had to run with it. I placed brushwork, a sticker, and a doily under my photo and two of Kayleigh’s readymade elements above my photo along with initials for my mother and me.

I hope you’re already inspired to lift Kelly’s great page. Remember to post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery as well as in the April Challenge Participation sign-in thread in the forum. Happy scrapping!
