Saturday Scraplift: Fade to white

Good morning! It’s a beautiful day here in Chicagoland (well, other than the flooding river….) and I hope you have nice weather where you are as well. This week we are lifting the talented bbe (Brenda) and her darling page that just jumped out of the gallery at me.

Not only is Spencer absolutely precious and I love the colorful photo mat, but the soft, subtle textured background really caught my eye as well. I just loved the idea of playing with a fade this weekend.

Here are a few interpretations of this fun design to help get you started. First off is beehive50 (Debi) as this design was pretty much in her wheel house of clean and graphic. Although she claims to be blending challenged, Katie’s fade brush worked perfectly! I also love the photo as it’s Debi meeting up with fellow DT member Chrissy in Glasgow! ūüôā

Up next is lizziet5 (Liz) and her beautiful daughter Hayley. Another self proclaimed “challenged blender” who totally nailed it. Love it when people try techniques that scare them a bit! She also mirrored Brenda’s overall square and circle centered design.

Shannamay (Sharon) also took on this week’s SSL with this precious freckled face. Instead of using background brushes to achieve her faded background, she used paper. And I love the loops and buttons to draw the eye around the page. Wonderful!

Whether you are inspired by the faded background, the bold colors or the square and circle design, I think there is a lot of inspiration to be had from Brenda’s page.
