Saturday Scraplift: Clustering Photos and Elements

Merry Christmas to my friends around the world! For the first time in I can’t remember when, I’m pretty much ready for Christmas, and it’s not even December 24. It’s a good feeling because I’ve had more time to browse the gallery here at Designer Digitals, and it has been absolutely overflowing with beautifully festive pages. This lovely page by Carmel (caapmun) caught my attention with her cluster of photos and elements between two paper strips at the top and bottom of her design. Kathy, one of our Guest CT members, joined me in lifting Carmel’s pretty page.

Carmel’s page:

Kathy’s (Blackkathy) page uses Katie’s gorgeous new Christmas Lodge Kit, and I’m in love with that plaid Christmas tree that she placed behind her photos. Her word art and word strips perfectly frame the photos of her Christmas decorations, and the red and black color scheme really pops on her page.

After saying how much I am loving the Christmas pages in the gallery, I scrapped a non-Christmas page! But Carmel’s design worked so well for the great photos my daughter-in-law captured of my granddaughter and her handsome friend Ethan when they went to homecoming together last year. I had fun finding the elements to coordinate with and frame the photos.

I’m sure you have some photos just begging to be scrapped, and I’m guessing Carmel’s page will give you plenty of inspiration. Remember to post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery as well as in the December Challenge Participation thread in the forum. Happy scrapping, and have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends!
