Welcome to this week’s Saturday Scraplift Challenge! I’ve long admired Sharon’s (Shannamay) scrapping style – her neat layout designs, the perfectly selected elements that grace her pages and the playful air that’s often in her work are all so evident in this gorgeous page entitled You! I love the little pops of pink with the black and white … such a delightful page!
Linda (earlofoxford) was quick off the mark with her lift, openly admitting that she started her lift, fully intending to do a mostly black and white page, but that she just can’t seem to stay away from color! That’s what I love about this challenge… lifts start off from the same springboard but whether the finished article remains pretty true to form or takes us in a different direction is anyone’s guess! You gotta love that creative unknown! I love how Linda shook the lift up a little and the rainbow of colour that she took throughout her page gives a warm, happy and Summery glow! A wonderful lift!
Linda used these products: Touches of Paint Paper Pack No. 02, Twisted Dots No. 01
Party Time Paper Pack, LakeLand Solids Paper Pack, Inked Twists Brushes and Stamps No. 02, Book Bag Days Back-to-School Scrapbook Element Pack, Photo Wraps No. 02, Chimayo Element Pack, Clipped Stacks No. 10, Drop Shadow Styles No. 02 – Katie Pertiet; Readymade Journalers: Everyday No. 07, Readymade Journalers: Everyday No. 08 – Studio Double-D.
The black and neutral colour combination Anke used on her lift is one of my favourites and I love how the ‘wood’ backdrop showcases all the pretty details. Anke switched up the lift a little, adding her charm with some pocket cards and some brushwork, and check the shadowing on the bow! So fabulous!
Anke’s product list: Antiquarian Artistry Solids Paper Pack No. 01, Antiquarian Artistry No. 1 Element Pack, Vintage Mix Clusters Brushes, Stamps and Layers No. 14, Pocket Cards: Circle Sentiments No. 02, Pocket Cards: Sentiments Brushes and Stamps No. 01, Pocket Cards: Stitching White No. 01, Pocket Cards: Bound No. 01, Stacked Classic Frames, Twisted Dots No. 01 – all Katie Pertiet.
I pretty much stayed true to form with my lift. I’m struggling to focus in all aspects of my life right now so for me, a straight lift was good for my soul and I love that Sharon’s page inspired me to work with one of my favourite images of Hayley and a soft colour palette. And I never miss an opportunity to work with my most favourite product… Twisted Dots No. 1!
Here’s what I used: Antiquarian Artistry Solids Paper Pack No. 1, Monthly Memories Paper Pack No. 05, Patterning Palettes No. 02 Add-On Pink Paper Pack, Darcy Gardens Solids Paper Pack, Mon Petit Ballon Bleu Solids Paper Pack, Clipped Stacks No. 10, Monthly Memories Element Pack No. 02, Monthly Memories Element Pack No. 04, Monthly Memories Element Pack No. 05, Monthly Memories Element Pack No. 06, Autumn Fields Element Pack, Cedar Crest Element Pack, Cambrianna Element Pack, Deelen Element Pack, Darling Baby Element Pack, Twisted Dots No. 01 – Katie Pertiet; Hand Scripted Love Brushes and Stamps No. 01 – Studio Double-D; Tiny Templates No. 05 – Cathy Zielske.
I do hope you’re inspired to join in on the lift and when you’re ready, please post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery. And if you use all DD products on your lift, remember to link your page in the June 2018 Challenge Participation thread so you can work towards getting a coupon code for the store!
So happy scrapping and I’ll see you in the galleries!
