Saturday Scraplift Challenge: Stack-a-Mat

A warm welcome to this week’s Saturday Scraplift Challenge on Digital Scrapbooking Day! Here at Designer Digitals, we’re celebrating with a whopping 30% off all scrapbooking kits and stack the savings with 20% off anything if you use the code DSD20 at the checkout! Now, how’s that for a deal?! But be quick because the sale ends at 6am EST on Monday, October 8th 2018. Also, as usual, there’s a new Layer Works Template for 99c and this week’s new releases are 20% off through to Tuesday!

But before you head off to snap up the deals and move everything from your wish list into your basket, take a look at Sharon’s (Shannamay) page, Right Here, that I’ve chosen for the lift this week. If you’re relatively new here at DD, do take a look at Sharon’s gallery and you’ll soon join those of us who’ve been here a little longer, in appreciating Sharon’s signature style of neat layers, great page design, super cute photo’s and stories and sometimes, the real life, tough stuff.

So, back to the lift! Sharon has a wonderful eye for page design and I love how she incorporates patterned paper and an array of elements that leave me wanting to soak up the details again and again! It’s no surprise then that there was no shortage of ladies wanting to lift this!

First to jump in on the challenge was Elisabeth (lego) with her Schokolade Mousse page which leads me on to something else you may want to check out – Elisabeth’s gallery of her recipe project! I love how Elisabeth was inspired by the lift to use a photo stack and pocket cards on her page to make the most of pretty patterned paper. All Elisabeth’s recipe pages are gorgeous, and this is a smashing addition, and when she shared her lift with me she said she now just wants that chocolate mousse! Wait for me Elisabeth!

Here’s the stash that Elisabeth used: Inspiration Template 09 22 18 (frame), Monthly Memories No. 10 BundleMonthly Memories No. 09 BundleMonthly Memories Element Pack No. 04Monthly Memories Element Pack No. 02Monthly Memories Element Pack No. 08Monthly Memories Paper Pack No. 04Clipped Stacks No. 11Stitching Holes Borders Brushes and StampsCountry Roads KitTextured Whites Paper Pack No. 02 – all Katie Pertiet.

Kate (OKate) said she also loves Sharon’s page and was inspired by the photo to scrap this lovely photo of her three beautiful nieces back in 2003. Kate said although it’s hard to see because of how she cropped the photo, her nieces are, in fact, sitting on the branch of a tree. Like me, Kate also loved the patterned paper mats. A beautiful, vibrant lift!

Rachel (rache77) drew her inspiration by the little circle papers that Sharon used across her page that led the the circle frames and brush work on her lift. Rachel also loves the colours of Sharon’s page and I like how the sweet photo works so well with the pretty tones. A wonderfully soft lift!

Here’s Rachel’s product list: Spill Frame Layers No. 12Bliss Solids Paper PackMonthly Memories No. 10 Painted LayersOutlined and Scripted Sentiments Brushes and Stamps No. 08Around Words Brushes and Stamps No. 13 – all Katie Pertiet.

One of the things I love about the scraplift challenge is that it tends to open my eyes to products I’ve wanted to use but haven’t felt that they quite ‘worked’ on my pages yet – I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve used a plaid paper on a page! Yes, really! And the plaid paper was inspired by the striped paper Sharon used! Anyhow, that’s how I roll and here’s my Cape coast baby… she turns 28 next month and she’s visiting in two weeks time to be bridesmaid for her best friend from university!

I used: Batty Mini Mix Solids Paper PackSimple Mini Mix No. 01Monthly Memories No. 10 Paper PackThin Classic Photo Frames Curled and Flat No. 01Watery Photo Masks No. 09Monthly Memories Element Pack No. 06Monthly Memories Element Pack No. 08Monthly Memories Element Pack No. 09Seasons Sparkles Element PackEverlasting Element PackCameron Element PackGarden Trails Element PackCandid Element PackBliss Element PackPebble Essentials No. 01 – Katie Pertiet; Hand Scripted Brushes and Stamps No. 22 – Studio Double-D; Finer Things No. 01 Slate Paper Pack – Maplebrook Studios.

I hope you’re inspired by Sharon’s page to join us on the lift. When you’re done, post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery and if you use all DD products on your page, remember to post a link to your page in the October Challenge Participation thread so you can work towards a coupon for the store!

Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to seeing  you in the gallery!
