Saturday Scraplift Challenge: Repeated Shapes

Good morning everyone!
Today we are going to be lifting the lovely work of Julie (MaggieMae). I was drawn to this page by the repetition of squares and rectangles and by the use of coloured brushwork to form the foundation on which everything else rests. I’m also always on the lookout for great multi-photo design ideas as I find that challenging!

Trisha (trishaf), jumped at the chance to scraplift this great design. She has used rectangles for all her photo/paper spots, and like Julie, brushwork for her page foundation. I love how colourful her page is!

Trisha used the frames from the Better Together Layered Template, Around Words Brushes and Stamps No. 12, Digital Date Stamps Vol. 28A, Painted Accents No. 7, Meriam Ridge Blendable Layers, Graphed Paper Pack No. 02 and Just Linens Paper Pack No. 18.

I loved the repeated squares and made two of my photos square to match the square paper spot. I used the paper square as a base for a title block, and while I had every intention of using brushwork for my page foundation, it just seemed to work better to use patterned paper.

I used two new products in the store soon:
Striping Grunge Edgers Brushes and Stamps No. 03 and From My Bookshelf Blendables No. 14.
I also used Coastal Memories Element Pack, Coastal Memories Roughed Up Photo Mats, Classic Curled Photo Frames No. 7, Tightly kerned Brushes and Stamps No. 4, Canvas Colors Paper Pack No. 28 and Readymade Layers: Beach Borders No. 6.

I really enjoyed lifting Julie’s great design and hope you will too! Please share your lift in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge Gallery. If you use 100% DD product, don’t forget to add your page to the July Challenge Participation thread in order to earn rewards!

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
