Good morning everyone! Welcome to this week’s Saturday Scraplift. I was browsing the gallery during the week and came across this delightful page featuring Katie’s new Mixed Media Layers product. I’m not sure whether I’ve spotlighted one of my talented sister Carmel’s (caapmun) layouts before for the SSL, but our creative team were very keen to scraplift this page along with me, so I hope you will excuse a little nepotism!!
I loved the soft and gentle feel to the page, the L-shaped arrangement of masked and framed photos, the brushwork and the way the corner placement of the Mixed Media Teatime is balanced by the element cluster on the opposite side. Lots of scope for a scraplift!
Rachael (myssyp) was inspired to scrap a photo of her niece’s recent wedding, and has used the combination of masked and framed photos to great effect. Such a pretty, celebratory page!
Rachael used Mixed Media Wine Time Layers No.01, Mixed Media Leaves Layers No.02, Readymade Layers: Butterfly Borders No.03, Curated Favorites Paper Pack No.09: In Blue, Curated Team Scrapbook Mix No. 08 , Beloved Scrapbooking Collection, Stacked Classic Frames, Painted Photo Masks Brushes and Stamps No. 10 and Artsy Paint Type Clusters Brushes and Stamps No. 02.
I think it is pretty cool that Jana, Julie and I all used the completely gorgeous ARToption Mini Mix No. 02 kit that is new to the store this week. It really illustrates how beautifully versatile Designer Digital Product is.
Here is Jana’s gorgeous page which stays with Carmel’s blue colour scheme and the Mixed Media teacup.
I am amazed that such a gorgeous page has a comparatively small supply list! Along with the new ARToption kit, Jana used Autumn Rambles Element Pack, Mixed Media Tea Time Layers No. 01, Blendables Layered Template No. 68 and Bold and Scripted Brushes and Stamps No. 12.
Julie has scrapped a vacation memory beautifully – also using the new kit. So pretty!
She also used Scripted Story Titles Brushes and Stamps No. 02, Mixed Media Floral Layers No. 01, Autumn Rambles Element Pack, Watery Photo Masks No. 04, Mixed Media Wine Time Layers No.01 and Vintage Photo Frames No. 42.
I was inspired to scrap yet another of our regular cafe trips, this time focusing on the changes that are afoot in out household and how difficult it all is! I originally planned to use a masked photo as Carmel did, but I just love the paint sample tags in the new kits and ended up using those instead. And the fluttering butterfly seems to sum up some of the feelings we are experiencing! I love how easy it is to recolour these Mixed Media Layer products to suit any page!
I really hope you will be equally as inspired as we all were to use some of these amazing layered products that are so great for customizing to suit your own story.
Please post your creations in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery. And if you are able to get in some scrapping this weekend, don’t forget to add your 100% DD product LO to your post in the October Challenge Participation Thread. The month is nearly done!
Happy scrapping, everyone!
