Saturday Scraplift Challenge: Extractions

Hello there!  This is Janet–JALong.  For this week’s Saturday Scraplift Challenge I  chose this sweet page by kmarr77.

I love how this page looks like a back-to-school ad and when I saw it, I immediately wanted to do a page about my daughter who also recently headed back-to-school.  Thanks, kmarr77, for the inspiration!

This page by shhbabymine is such a beautiful example.  Sarah’s extraction of her talented daughter is so well done.  She applied a stroke to the edge giving the extraction a sticker-like appearance.

Sarah used these products on her page:
Arlesey Solids Paper Pack
Watery Washes Brushes and Stamps 1
On The Edge Flourishes 5
Painted Edgers 4
Doodling Around Brushes
Slide Frames 2
Sweet Rose Bay Elements
Day Out Elements
Lens Flare 2
Chalkboard Alpha 1
Notebook Paper Pack 7

Flair Minis

This page by Shannamay is about her darling granddaughter.  Sharon’s extraction is also flawless!  I love the beautiful color palette taken from little Tully’s darling outfit.  And her shadow adds the perfect finishing touch to the page.

Sharon used the following product on her page:

Hey Missy Complete Scrapbooking Collection
Bracket Repeats Brushes and Stamps No. 01
Color My Love Complete Collection
Away We Go Add-on Paper Pack
Chalkboard Alphabet No. 05

My page shows the outfit my daughter wore on her first day of high school.  I decided to record the places that she bought her clothes and how much they cost.  I thought she might like to remember these things someday when she is shopping with her own children.a web First Day of School

The products I used on my page are:

Blanca Paper Pack
Twisted Dots No. 01
Little Layette Kit
Assorted Tapes No. 03
Bead Scatterings No. 01
Basic Paper Alphabet: Notebook
Corby Complete Scrapbooking Collection
Hello School Brushes and Stamps

I hope we will have lots of participation in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge.  I’ll be watching for your pages in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery.
