Saturday Scraplift: Angles and Blends

I love it when I spy something a little different on a page in the gallery. That’s exactly what happened when I saw Kathleen’s (kmchambers64) cool back-to-school page. I loved the angles she had going on at the top of her page as well as the blended image of her son. The sharp color scheme caught my eye, also. Christine and Kate, two of our Guest Creative Team members, joined me in lifting Kathleen; here’s where her inspiration took us.

Kathleen’s page:

Christine (Christine Irion) went with the back-to-school theme, using photos of her son Jack. Her use of brushes and accents does a great job of leading the eye through her page, and I adore that blended image. And notice the spot-on use of the denim pocket behind the main photo – love it!

Kate (OKate) schooled me in some of the history of her state: missions in California. Her blended picture provides the perfect backdrop to her more detailed photo, and I really enjoyed reading her informative journaling. Isn’t that blue sky magnificent?

After a week filled with a hurricane, no power, and hot weather, I’m yearning for fall. I borrowed a photo from Pixabay and created my own autumn! The angles of Kathleen’s page inspired me to use stitched diamonds filled with papers in the autumn colors of the photo. There, I feel better!

I think you’ll find lots in inspiration in Kathleen’s page, and I’m eager to see what you create. Post your page in the Saturday Scraplift Challenge gallery and in the September Participation Thread in the forum. Happy scrapping!
