As we head into the most patriotic time of the year in the U.S., our last challenge of June is the Patriotic Challenge! I hope you’ll join us and play along, and show us what it means to be a patriot, wherever you live. Katie provided a wonderful freebie for this challenge, which is not required for participation, but I think you’ll want to use it!
Joining me in the challenge were two of our team members, Brenda (bbe) and Debi (beehive50). They both created fabulous pages in their own styles, and the results are awesome! Check out these great pages!
Brenda incorporated her own flair using the Studio Double D Layer Works 682 template, amazing Americana Woods paper and Page Fades No. 2, adding an artsy touch that I really admire. Love the photo treatment on this page too.
Debi made great use of the freebie Katie provided and created a wonderful graphic-style page showcasing a great line of photos accented with the festive star banner. This page has a great story about team and national spirit! In addition to a couple of the elements from the freebies’ pack, Debi’s page used Just Linens Paper Pack 74, Classic Side Lift Storyboard Photo Frames No. 1, All Around 4×6 Sports Brushes and Stamps No. 1, Flair Minis No. 1, and Flair Mini Sports.
Every time I looked at this photo of my twin granddaughters I thought, oh those girls are as American as apple pie! But I wasn’t sure how to convey that, until this challenge. This was a lot of fun to create with Katie’s Build a Blend Page No. 4 overlay and Studio Double D Readymade Frame Clusters Americana and Readymade Edgers Americana, turning a simple photo and feeling into something more dynamic. In addition, my page used Antibes wood paper, Arctic Whites Papers, Fabulous Fourth Brushes and Stamps, Edge Overlays No 9 and Artsy Paint Type Clusters Brushes and Stamps No. 2.
I hope you’ll join us in the final June challenge! And, if you use 100% currently available Designer Digitals products, you’’ll receive credit in our rewards program and earn a discount coupon for future purchases. Don’t forget to post your page in the Scrapbook Challenge Gallery and the June Challenge Participation Thread too!
