Let’s Blend Challenge – Stamped Blocks

The Let’s Blend Challenge is back! This month, I thought we would work with one of my favorite masks; Stamped Blocks. Stamped Blocks can be used in so many ways. I have created two layouts with a few examples of how I like to work with them.

Sometimes I like to create a page without a photo. I enlarged the mask and then clipped a paper to it to create a header, added a corner to the right side, changed the blend mode on that, and went from there. Sometimes I don’t really know the direction I want to go until I start adding elements to the page. This ended up going in a more artsy direction.

Products used: Lightly Letterbox No. 3, Mixed Bits Clusters No. 3, Stamped Blocks No. 34, Canvas Colors No. 31, Watery Corners n Edges, Vintage Mix Clusters No. 4, Artsy Splatters No. 1

The second example uses the mask at the top again, but with a photo that I duplicated,  added an artsy filter to the top, changed the blend mode to multiply reduced the opacity and then clipped to a page blend. (how’s that for a long run-on sentence?)

Products used: Page Blends No. 1-4, Vintage Mix Clusters No. 5, Stamped Blocks No. 34, Blendable Journalers No. 2, Sunflower Blends No. 1

So, let’s see what you all come up with using some or all of the products in the freebie Katie has provided. The sky is the limit!

Remember to post your pages in the Mask Appeal Challenge Gallery and don’t forget when you use ALL DD products on your challenge page you should post a link of your page in the March Challenge Participation thread so that it will count toward your savings in the rewards program. Have fun!
