Let’s Blend Challenge – Layered Masks and Edge Overlays

Hi Everyone and welcome to this month’s Let’s Blend Challenge. We are going to work with Layered Masks and Edge Overlays this month. I use Layered Masks quite and bit because they are so versatile. Edge Overlays are a great way to make a layout look complete and by changing the blend mode, or color, there is no end to what you can do with them.

Working with layered masks gives us so many options: Turn off one of the layers if you don’t want to use it. Clip your entire photo to each layer (like I did on my page). Change the blend mode on one or all of the layers (I used overlay on the top layer). Clip a paper to one of the layers to add interest and depth.

Remember to post your pages in the Mask Appeal Challenge Gallery and don’t forget to use ALL DD products, along with all or part of the freebie, Katie has provided on your challenge page. You should post a link of your page in the July Challenge Participation Thread so that it will count  toward your savings in the rewards program. Have fun!
