Let’s Blend Challenge – Using Filters With Blended Images

Welcome to April’s Let’s Blend Challenge. Lately, I have been using various filters on my images to create more interesting layouts. This month, I thought we would work on blending two or more images together and then use a filter(s) from the filter gallery to add interest and depth.

The page I created below began with two images I took while we were in New York. First, I clipped both images to a rectangular mask and then duplicated the image I wanted to highlight to another more artsy mask. In order to add interest, I started playing with filters. By duplicating the top image that was clipped to the basic mask, I was able to apply different filters to each of them, changing the opacity and blend modes.
