As you may know, I live on the “Wet” Coast of Canada in Vancouver where we typically don’t get a lot of winter snow and ice. We do ski, so I get up to the local hills, but there aren’t a lot of opportunities to get outside sledding with the kids. This Christmas we traveled east where we found ourselves surrounded by a winter wonderland. The kids went sledding numerous times with their cousins in the bright Alberta sun. Fortunately, this year, the temperatures weren’t too cold, which made it absolutely perfect conditions for careening down the hill and playing in the snow!
For this month’s Color Challenge, we are working with Arctic Pastels which I think work just beautifully for some of my snow photos from over Christmas. Even if you don’t live somewhere with snow, I love how the colours in this soft palette work together.
Some of our CT Guests created some beautiful pages as inspiration. Julie did a stunning capture of her granddaughter. I love the whimsical swirls of colour that frame the photo so well.
Addie did a beautiful black and white photo of her son and her playing in the snow. It works so well with the wintery colours on her page!
