itunes: Starry starry night

Hiya, welcome to another chance to join in with our monthly iTunes challenge! It’s been chilly, which leads to some lovely clear nights for stargazing. Last night was the lunar eclipse, and I’ve loved seeing the photos of that online. I caught the tail end of it here, though there were clouds in the way most of the time.

Inspired by this, I’ve chosen this album cover to get our imagination going this month.

When I found this cover,  the starry background jumped out at me, with the simple titlework; and there are plenty of star-themed products in the store. I also like the blue with the gradient effect, which is what I added to my page below.

I was inspired to use a photo from an event I attended a couple of years ago with my pupils. Mission Discovery puts teams of pupils through challenges, to design an experiment for the International Space Station. They also got talks from the astronaut Michael Foale, and Sarah Murray, who works at NASA. Their talks were fascinating!

On this page I used Page Fades Clipping Masks No. 01; Eat Cake Kit; Astro Scrapbooking Kit; Stamped Stitched Stars brushes and stamps; Scout Minikit; In Stitches: Circles No. 02.

My other inspiration example comes from digigrandma (Merr). Although she did not do the page for this challenge, I think it matches perfectly with the theme and style! I love her addition of all the animals.

Merr used Just Linens Paper Pack No. 75; Basic Trees No 1; Junk Journal Printable Collage Sheet No. 01; Cute Mini Mix No. 02; Wood Veneer Springtime; Readymade Layers: Woodlands Clusters no 01.

Now it’s your turn, show us your starry-inspired pages. To help you get started, Katie has generously provided a freebie. Post your pages in the iTunes gallery so we can leave some love. Remember to keep track of your pages in the January rewards thread to earn store credit by completing challenges.

Happy scrapping!
