iTunes: Make the gradient

Hiya, welcome to this month’s iTunes challenge. It’s definitely getting towards summer here, there’s house martins back in the eaves of my house, the kids have been playing outside more and school is starting to wind down – though still has a month to go.

I knew I wanted a bright, happy album cover as inspiration this month, and I couldn’t go past this one by Ellie Goulding.Something about the gradient effect is very pleasing in those greens and blues. I love the simple title treatment too.

I was inspired by this to create a page from a photo my daughter sent me while she was playing with her friends. It just screams summer to me, so I added a golden overlay to add the effect of a photo filter. Then I simply added paper which I cut out in the middle, and put a simple title.

I used Gradient Essentials Paper Pack No. o1; Seaside Melts Paper Pack.

Now it’s your turn, show me how you can be inspired by the gradient here. Katie’s kindly provided a challenge freebie to help you get started. Post your pages in the itunes gallery so we can leave a comment, and don’t forget to keep track of your pages through the month in the challenge participation thread. It’s getting towards the end of the month, so get those pages noted to earn a discount at the store.

Happy scrapping!
