Hello everyone! It’s time for another hybrid scrapbooking project. A few weeks back I saw a project on Pinterest that talked about making drink coasters out of ceramic tiles and scrapbook paper. So, I decided to bust into my digi stash and make some coasters.
For this project you will need: ceramic tiles (only $ 0.16 cents a piece at Home Depot), modge podge, printed designs, felt or cork for backing, glue gun and a clear coat. First you will want to modge podge your designs to your tiles. When they are completely dry find a well-ventilated area and cover them in your clear coat. The last step is to hot glue on your felt backing to the back of your coaster. I also added a white grosgrain ribbon to the sides of my coasters for a finished look.

The possibilities are endless for this project. You can hang them on the wall as an art collage; you can create different designs for different holidays or possibly do a beach theme complete with cork backing and a rope boarder. As always we love to see your hybrid projects in the Hybird Gallery. Happy creating! Lisa (lpate)
