Getting Artsy with Digital Scrapbooking: Watery

Good Tax Morning to everybody. To cheer you up on this day of gloom we are bringing you a fun new challenge this morning. Katie has created this gorgeous freebie, which you can find right  HERE

As you can see it is a PSD file, which means you can add different things or colors and clip them to the separate layers. So fun!! Check out the examples I have for you:
Joanne (Jcaruth910) created this stunner:
See how she clipped a photo to the background layer of the mask and then added matching colors to the rest? It’s just beautiful! Here are the supplies she used:
Katie Pertiet: Blendable Layers No. 21, Wood Veneer Postage Photo Frames No. 01,
Touch Up Paint Brushes and Stamps No. 05, Typed and Scripted Spring Brushes and Stamps, Edge Overlays No. 07, Messed Up Overlays No. 04, Blendable Layers No. 23
Lynn Grieveson: Margot Kit
Merr (digigrandma) added these gorgeous colors to her mask. She pulled them from the pretty flowers in the photo she added on top.

Isn’t it fun? Here is what she used:
K. Pertiet: Watery Sentiments Brushes and Stamps (new), Curated Mix Scrapbooking Kit No. 23, Cabana White Solid Paper Single, Spot Dots No. 09, Old World Ornaments Brushes and Stamps No. 03, Stacked Vintage Photo Frames, Collage Ephemera No. 2, Flair Minis No. 01, Watery Spots Brushes and Stamps No. 09, Srping Twists No. 01, Splatters Brushes and Stamps No. 04, Lifted Wings No. 02, Pinned Pearls No. 01, doily is from Bloese Element Pack,
L. Grieveson: Scrap Express No. 180

I had the same ideas for my page
I clipped my photo to the background and added the colors from the photos I placed on top, creating a little extraction to give it some dimension.

Here are my supplies:
K. Pertiet: blendable layers No.11 (new), Photoclusters No. 49 (new and altered), artsy freebie, blendable layers No.29, Shadowed n scripted No.1
The possibilities are endless. I hope you are feeling inspired and I am looking forward to seeing your pages in the Artsy Gallery. Please place a link to your page in the April challenge Thread . There is a little summation of the Rewards Program in that thread as well. Please feel free to use the freebie or any other watery item you might have in your stash and enjoy the process of creation 🙂
