Color Spots Scrapbook Challenge: Olympic Games

I love the Olympics! Watching the talented athletes from around the world perform always amazes me. Utah hosted the Winter Olympics in 2002. Then a few years later my oldest was born during the 2006 Winter Olympics. In just a few weeks, people from around the world with gather around their TV’s, or in Korea if they are lucky, to watch and cheer for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. With this in mind, our color challenge this month was inspired by the Olympic Rings on the flag!

I (KimR+) wanted to play with the colors of the Olympic flag, as well as document a few stories that tie in with the Games. The Round Vintage Frames were definitely handy to help create the circles of the flag. Using techniques to erase parts of the frame to make the rings look as if they are actually intertwined.Supplies used: Clean Stitched Borders: White No. 01, Forever Fresh Solids, Messy Stamped Alphabet No. 05Round Vintage Photo Frame Stacks No. 01Star Glows Brushes and Stamps No. 02Striped Mix: Rainbow Paper Pack No. 01 (recolored), Symbology Enamel Brads No. 01Just Linens Paper Pack No. 23Just Linens Paper Pack No. 54

Linda (earlofoxford) was also inspired by the rings of the Olympic flag. Can we say that great minds think alike? The large photo of the Ferris wheel really draws the eye in. Speaking of eyes, her fun title work is just amazing! I also love the 5 colored buttons and the various photos in the frames.
