Adobe Photoshop Tips: February 14: Release Your Inner Cupid

Article Details

Cupid isn’t the only one sporting arrows today. If you have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, you have a quiver full of them, too! Hiding in the Tool Bar under the Rectangle Tool (with the Custom Shape tool, Ellipse, Polygon and Rounded Rectangle tools) your arrows are a function of the Line Tool.

Selecting the Line Tool activates a series of choices in the Options Bar.

In Photoshop and PSE, click the down-facing arrow next to the line preview in the Options Bar to select the arrow option. Change the thickness of the arrow by typing a value in the Weight option box and select a color from the Color options box. In Photoshop, be sure to select “Shape Layers” from the set of three icons next to the line preview.

Click on your document and drag out an arrow the length and direction of your choice. Just be careful at whom you point those arrows today!
