These kits contain a different type of quickpage than you might be used to using.

To use the quickpage in PSE:

1.  Open a photo and the layered quick page (.psd file)
2.  Double click the photo to make it active in the Editing Window. Choose Select > All (Ctrl+A Mac: Cmd+A) to select the entire photo.  Then choose Edit > Copy (Ctrl+C Mac: Cmd +C).
3.  Double-click the template file in the Project Bin to make it active in the Editing Window.
4.  In the Layers Palette, select the  white "frame" layer near the bottom of the Layers Palette. (It may be called Layer 1 or Photo Guide.)
5.  Get the Magic Wand Tool.  Make sure "contiguous" is checked in the Options bar and click on one of the photo openings.
Marching ants will surround the photo box you have selected to fill.
6.  Click the "Create a New Layer" icon in the Layers Palette to create a new transparent layer above the frame layer.
7. Choose Edit > Paste Into Selection (Shift+Ctrl+V  Mac: Shift+Cmd+V).
Your photo will be pasted into the photo box.
8.  Resize/position the photo before confirming:  At this point you'll be able to see marching ants around the entire photo area.  Get the Move Tool and use the corner handles to resize the photo.  Use the side handles to tilt the photo.  When you are happy with the way it looks, click the green checkmark to confirm.
9. Choose Select > Deselect (Ctrl+D or Mac: Cmd+D) to remove the selection.

Repeat the process with the remaining photos.
You can cover the white frame with a piece of patterned paper if you like.
Just drag the paper over the frame layer  and press Ctrl+G (Mac:
Cmd+G) to "glue" the paper to the frame.
