Put a Spotlight on Your Subject in Photoshop and PSE |
|||||
To give your photo a little drama, begin by opening an image in Photoshop or Elements. Choose Filter > Render > Lighting Effects. When the Lighting Effects dialog box populates, choose Spotlight from the Light Type drop-down menu. Rotate, move and alter the shape of the spotlight by moving the dot handles on the oval tool that covers the thumbnail of your image. Tick the preview box to view the results. Use the Ambience slider to make the edges of your photo darker to your liking. Use the Exposure slider to increase or decrease the brightness of the spotlight. When you are satisfied, click OK. The spotlight creates a vignette effect, brightening the focal point and darkening the edges just like lights in a theater. |
