Opening JPG Images in Camera Raw

Article Details

Last Updated

I like using Camera Raw to edit my RAW format (native camera) images before I take them into Photoshop. Did you know that you can also edit your jpg images in this powerful tool?

Open Adobe Bridge and navigate to your JPG image. Right click (Mac: Ctrl Click) the image and choose “Open in Camera Raw” from the flyout menu.

Your image will populate in the Camera Raw tool.

When you are finished editing, click Open Image to open the edited version in Photoshop.

Clicking Done will apply the edits and will close the dialog without opening the image in Photoshop.
